Calcium supplement is used for control of increased phosphate ions in the blood in end stage kidney failure. However, it does not promote aluminium absorption.
Side effects of CAC-1000 Plus
Side effects of calcium supplement can include a mild increase in the calcium ions of blood, resulting in constipation, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. Severe increase in the calcium ions can be manifested by confusion, disturbed state of mind, stupor (near unconsciousness), and coma. Other effects could be severe itching and allergic reactions.
When not to use CAC-1000 Plus
Calcium supplement should not be used when there is an increase in the calcium ions in the blood. It should also not be given in patients with kidney stones.
How to take CAC-1000 Plus
This medicine should not be taken with food
Please avoid consuming alcohol when taking this medicine.
Pregnant females should take their physician’s advice before taking calcium supplement.
Lactating mothers should take their physician’s advice before beginning calcium supplement.
