Uses
It is used for treating various disorders of blood vessels including hemorrhoids, varicose veins, poor circulation in the legs (venous stasis), and bleeding (hemorrhage) in the eye or gums. It is also used to treat swelling of the arms (lymphedema) following breast cancer surgery, to protect against liver toxicity, and a type of pain called radicular pain.

Side Effects
Stomach and abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, skin redness and hives, muscle pain, blood problems, and altered heart rate.

When not to use
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.

Precaution
Not enough is known about the use of diosmin during breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.

Precaution
Stop taking this drug at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.

Precaution
It might slow blood clotting and increase the risk of bleeding. In theory, hesperidin might make bleeding disorders worse.
